How it Works

ZipperBuddy MagZip  is made of two pieces that zip directly to the preexisting zipper on your jacket or hoodie. Simply match the zipper sides, zip them on, and enjoy the freedom to open and close your jacket with ease, thanks to hook-and-loop or MagZip technology.

Designed for Most Plastic Zippers​​

ZipperBuddy MagZip works with most plastic #5 zippers (like the YKK Vislon #5). After a one-time installation from a friend or loved one who can navigate zippers, you’ll gain independence to close your jacket with just one hand—whether you have full dexterity or not. No permanent modifications required!

Ordering FAQ

How Do I Know What Length to Order?
  • Measure the zipper length on your jacket or hoodie.
  • Most jacket zippers are 24” or 27” in length, though measuring will ensure you have the perfect fit!
  • If you are in between lengths, size down.

How Do I Know It Will Work With My Jacket?

ZipperBuddy MagZip is compatible with a very common zipper!


Verifying is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
  1. Find the zipper pull on your jacket
  2. Flip it over and look for the number 5
  3. Look at the zipper teeth

Set Up

Attaching ZipperBuddy for the first time may require help from a loved one or friend, but it’s fast!

  1. Zip ZipperBuddy onto the left side of your jacket zipper.
  2. Then zip it onto the left side of your jacket zipper!
That’s it!

Quick tip:

Lay your jacket flat and unzipped with the entire ZipperBuddy in the middle exactly as it comes out of the package

Zipping Tips

Thanks to MagZip technology, zipping independently is a breeze!
  1. Hold the zipper pull on the center of your ZipperBuddy all the way down at the magnetic base
  2. Bring the magnetic bases close together
  3. Listen or Feel them click together!
